Summer Has Come and Gone

It’s hard to believe that the Summer has come and gone, school is in session, and that I am looking forward to beginning my second year with AACSC—and what a year it has been. A great year I might add and one where I have come to know many of you and feel confident that I can call you friends.

I came with one purpose in mind and it remains the same—to raise AACSC to be the best. We are definitely on the right path, and with all the encouraging comments and feedback from you, I know we are on the right track.

Since this is the month I began this journey with AACSC, I thought I would reflect and highlight some of my favorite moments:

Summer Social – What a GREAT event!

Party with the Ponies – I lost money but had a blast.

Holiday Party – I love supporting Interval House.

Hot Topics – Our NEW lunchtime education opportunity.

Golf Tournament – The support you show this event and the fun you all have makes me very happy indeed.

I would like to thank those members who counsel. AACSC is rich with history and I am wise enough to know that only when you have the support of those around you, can the best be accomplished.

So what are we doing? We are beginning to get our committees active again, connecting with our community and getting active with the City Council, our Legislative representatives, Senators and Congress, too. For that, we can especially thank Elaine Hutchison, Clive Graham, Mac Bennett, Curt Knabe, Evelyn Arnold, Paul Bonner, Lorrie Baldwin, Kari Negri and Ron Kingston for their passion. Without them I can assure you that your pocketbook would have felt much lighter.

Finally, I am looking forward to what is to come and want to be sure to invite all of you to get involved. Whatever time you can give helps us, and by this time next year, I know that we will be more involved at all levels and even more committed to excellence. But it all begins with you and I working together to spread the news that AACSC is the place to begin a new career, to get involved, to learn, to get certified and to be proud that you are a member of the best Association and industry.

Thank you for a wonderful first year, see you at the Trade Show and remember that I am always available for suggestions and comments to improve YOUR Association.
